When should I place my order?
Typically, I require minimum of 4 weeks notice for celebration cakes (birthdays, baby showers) and preferably 2 months for wedding cakes or cakes that serve 100+ servings. Last minute orders are charged a rush fee starting at $50. Reach out to me to check availability.
What else do you offer besides cakes?
I offer cupcakes (regular and character), custom chocolate covered Oreos, marshmallow pops, gourmet S'mores, etc. Please know that all different types of dessert have minimum order requirements.
Can you tell me about your pricing?
Each custom cake will be unique so there is no fixed pricing for any specific order. There are, however general guidelines to follow while pricing out an order.
Orders are priced according to the number of servings and design and goes up according to the design and complexity of the order.
Prices begin at $5/serving (buttercream). Please checkout my Cake section to get a better idea of all the flavors I offer.
Special addition of figurines or sugar flowers will be priced separately.
Do you offer tasting and design consultation?
Design consultations (email, text, phone) is always offered and will be unlimited. If needed, I am available for one time face to face meeting as well. At this time, I am not able to offer cake tasting. I am a small home baker and the cost of tasting is too much to bear right now. If anything changes, I will post the update here.
What is your payment and cancellation policy?
50% NON Refundable deposit is required at the time of finalization to reserve your order/date (30 days in advance) and the rest of the payment is required two weeks before the date. Failure to pay the full balance on time will result in your order being cancelled. Please understand that I spend hours planning and designing your orders even though the actual cake might not have been started yet. Additionally, a lot of the decorative pieces for your order might be created well in advance even before the actual baking starts. With your deposit, I saved that specific date for your occasion and have turned down other orders. Therefore, if order is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the event date, there will be no refund on any payments already made.
Do you do delivery and setup?
Whisked by Mukta does offer delivery and setup. Prices are separate from the order total. Delivery and setup starts at $100 and will depend on the distance travelled. If orders are picked up, Whisked by Mukta bears no responsibility once the order leaves the premise. Terms and Conditions will be provided after reservation and signed by both parties.
Can you copy a cake from a magazine or Pinterest?
You are actually encouraged to send me the designs of cakes that you like. I will however not copy the design exactly out of respect for the other designer. I can always use your pictures for inspiration but you can always personalize your cake with its own color, shapes etc for a unique design.
